The law school’s namesake, Roger Williams, founded Rhode Island and its capital city of Providence. Providence provides students an urban cultural atmosphere. The East Side is popular with college, graduate and professional school students who populate the universities in and around the Capital. It is the perfect area to be a part of city life without having to live downtown. Because of its youthfulness, it offers many fun cafes, bookstores, and coffee shops. The East side is also the part of the city closest to Bristol.

A number of students choose to live in Providence, especially in their third year, while partaking in our rich clinical offerings (Commute from the East Side is usually 25-35 minutes depending upon traffic).
